Are you a licensed celebrant, or do we need to bring our own?

We style and set up the ceremony space, but you'll need to bring your own celebrant. If you don't have one yet, we're happy to recommend a few we love working with.

Question 2

What happens if it rains?

We keep a close eye on the forecast. If rain is predicted, you can move the ceremony to a private indoor location or reschedule to a new date within 12 months at no extra cost. We need your final decision at least 24 hours before your start time.

What happens if it’s a cold day?

Accepted Answer

A crisp, sunny day by the water is one of our favourite ways to experience the coast! We definitely still go ahead if it’s chilly. To keep you cozy, we provide complimentary premium throw blankets for all guests at no extra cost. Between our plush rugs and a few extra layers, you’ll find the 'winter sun' sessions are some of our most magical and intimate setups.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes. Shore & Side is a BYO-friendly service. We provide the crystal glassware, the vintage ice bucket, and the ice. Please note that while most Sydney parks allow responsible drinking, we will advise you if your chosen location has specific "Alcohol-Free Zone" restrictions.

Do you provide the food?

Our base price covers the full styling and setup. You can add curated grazing boxes from our partner, Catering Project, at checkout, or you are welcome to bring your own food.

Where do we park and are there toilets nearby?

Accepted Answer

We intentionally select our picnic locations for both their beauty and their convenience. Every one of our signature spots offers easy parking within a short walking distance of your setup. Additionally, clean public amenities are located nearby at all our sites. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a 'Site Guide' email with precise GPS coordinates, parking tips, and the location of the nearest facilities so your arrival is completely stress-free.

Question 7

Can we stay longer than 3 hours?

We include 3 hours as standard, more than the industry average. If you’d like to extend your stay, additional time can be added for $150 per hour (subject to availability).

Question 8

Do we need to clean up?

Accepted Answer

Part of the luxury experience is that we handle the full pack-down. We only ask you to clear any loose rubbish before you go and that you don't leave the picnic equipment unattended; if you wish to leave early, simply send us a text 45 minutes prior.

Question 9

Do we need a permit to get married at these locations?

Accepted Answer

Some Sydney parks and reserves require a small council permit for ceremonies. We'll let you know if this applies to your chosen spot during the booking process and guide you through it.

Question 10

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We offer a full credit note to reschedule if you cancel at least 7 days before your event. For cancellations within 7 days, a 50% fee applies to cover the preparation of your bespoke setup.

Question 11

How many guests can the setup accommodate?

Accepted Answer

Our ceremony packages are designed for intimate weddings and elopements, typically up to 50 guests, depending on each Council restrictions for small public events on public space. If you're planning something larger, get in touch and we'll see what's possible.

Question 12

Can we add a reception or celebration afterwards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many couples extend their booking with one of our picnic setups for a relaxed celebration straight after the ceremony. Ask us at checkout to bundle it in.
